The IARFC National Financial Plan Competition is open to undergraduate university students enrolled in a financial services program. Based on a fictional case story, students are asked to develop a financial plan to judge progress through various stages.

In this Semi-Final stage, the students attend a preliminary technical meeting for a verification of the material and then a time to present the plan. On these days, the teams give their recommendations accompanied by PowerPoint presentations for video recording. These sessions will be sent to the IARFC Board of Directors for the vote of the 3 finalists.

These top 3 chosen teams will present their plans in person to the US Section Board of Directors at its annual meeting in Cincinnati, OH in April. “It is a great honor to judge the student submissions,” said IARFC US Section Board Chair, Rick Stanzione, RFC®. “Personally, I am encouraged when I see the enthusiasm and meticulous work displayed by the teams at all stages of the Competition. They represent the future of the financial services industry who will pursue the mission of influencing the financial future of their clients.
