Chris McGee Joins AArete as Head of Financial Services Practice

Chris McGee has joined management and technology consultancy AArete as managing director and head of its global financial services industry practice. He is based in New York.

McGee brings nearly 20 years of experience advising financial services clients, including retail, commercial, corporate and investment banks, as well as insurance companies, wealth managers, markets venture capitalists and fintech companies. He will lead a practice that offers offerings in the areas of strategic cost reduction, M&A strategy, digital, cybersecurity, risk management and regulatory compliance.

McGee joins AArete from Gartner, where he spent the past three years as Global Client Director and Technology Sales Team Leader for Financial Services and Banking. In his role, he led teams that helped financial services clients plan and implement digital products and platforms to improve customer, customer and employee experiences.

Prior to that, McGee spent nearly 14 years at PwC US, where he most recently served as director of the financial services advisory practice and led engagements in strategic business transformation, risk management, compliance and regulatory remediation.

He holds an MBA from Columbia University and a bachelor’s degree in finance and marketing from Fairfield University.

Earlier this year, the company added Dana Dolan and Priya Iragavarapu as vice presidents based in Chicago.
